It wasn't a party!!! I promise!!!!

My lovely Memaw has been on a roadtrip/vacation for the last couple days. I have been staying at her house taking care of her dog, Gracie. She told me before she left that i couldn't have any parties.... I try to behave as much as i can... but i hope that her definition of a party isn't too different from mine.

I was hungry for chicken fried steak and mashed taters, so i decided to cook up a big spread of food. It isn't fun to cook just for yourself, so i decided to invite a friend or two over... well a friend turned into about 10 people...and a dog.

I cooked chicken fried steak, mashed taters, gravy, cressent rolls, corn, carrots (the good kind), and a big bowl of banana pudding... It was so good. I ate way too much, but it was worth it. I'm not the best cook, but i love to cook and have fun cooking my favorite foods.. especially for people i love...

It was nice having a house filled with happy, smiling, and full people!!! Leah, Hannah, Rachel, Eric, Korey, Garret, Hugh, Michael, and Ryan showed up and it made my day... After we ate, we played a intense game of apples to apples and shared a few good laughs... At one point, i thought i was about to kill Leah with my butter filled cooking style because she said she felt her heart skipping a beat...

I love all my friends!! thank yall so much for being in my life!!!!

As The Days Go By...

As the days go by in this crazy life of mine, I occasionally forget to take time to be thankful for the little things in life.. I keep on wanting to just hurry up and live, when what I need to be doing is slowing down and enjoying life. God has blessed us with this opportunity to make our mark on this world of His, and I am flying thru it without thinking twice. So while i am here a school, between my classes, I am going to slow down and give credit where credit is due.

Without Christ i would be nothing... zip.. nada.. zero. He is the rock that holds my crazy world together. Couldn't do it without him.

My family: blood runs thicker than water.. or so they say.. I have many people i consider my family that aren't blood relatives. I am a only child, but have some of the most amazing brothers a guy could ask for... Without them I would fall apart some days.. and some days i still do. My parents and grandparents are always there for me and they love me more than anything and that is always nice to know.. I love my family.

My friends: I have a group of friends that always keep me laughing. It is always refreshing to see them and to get to spend time with them. I love it.

There are many more things I am thankful for, but i cant list them all here.. Just as you are crusing thru the Universe today, stop and remember what you are blessed with..
